Unfortunately, readers do judge a book by its cover. We can help your book have an attention-grabbing cover.

How It Works

Step 1: Schedule a free consultation by clicking the button above, fill out your information, and Storyhound will reach out to request your manuscript and a time to meet (either virtually or in the Chicago area).

Step 2: We’ll talk through your project, including your wants, price, and timeline. Your preferred book size is very important. (Note: Price could depend on many factors, but will likely be in the $150-200 range).

Step 3: Upon agreement, Storyhound will create a front cover based on your initial input. We will make any revisions if necessary.

(Note: We want you to be proud of the cover because it’s the first impression people have of your book. We’re writers, so we understand the importance of that moment. We don’t mind tweaking or going back to the drawing board until we come up with a cover you love.)

Step 4: After the front cover has been approved, we will create the full book cover – including the back page and spine.

(Note: We are more experienced with creating paperbacks, but we can also go hardcover. Know that printing is much more expensive in KDP for hardcover vs. paperback.)

Step 5: Storyhound will provide you with the full PDF, ready to be loaded into KDP. We will have tested it on our end to make sure.

(Note: We always recommend you do a “Preview Copy” of the book before you publish, though. We can make any adjustments you request after that you have seen it in person.)
